Our native Apple TV app is live on the App Store. For years, putting an Apple TV behind a VPN meant a workaround — a VPN router, a laptop sharing its Wi-Fi, or an Ethernet cable from a computer. That is no longer necessary, and the app is included in the subscription you already have.

One press on the remote puts every app on the TV through the tunnel — streaming apps, games, the App Store, all of it. There is no per-app selection, no router to configure and no DNS addresses to keep registered.

  • No extra cost. It shares one App Store listing with our iPhone and iPad app, so it installs on your existing subscription and counts as one of your 10 simultaneous connections.
  • Requires tvOS 17.2 or later, which means an Apple TV HD or any Apple TV 4K. Third-generation Apple TVs and older cannot install apps at all, so they still need a VPN router.
  • Sign in with your VPN username and password — the ones from your activation email, not your client area login.
  • WireGuard and WireGuard Stealth, with servers in over 100 locations. Start with plain WireGuard at home — it is the faster of the two. Switch to Stealth on hotel, holiday-rental or campus networks that block or slow VPN connections. IKEv2 and IPSec are not available on tvOS.
  • Threat Protection, Bypass VPN for local networks (turn this on if AirPlay or a home device stops responding while connected), favourite servers, and a built-in Test your IP because the Apple TV has no web browser.

One thing worth knowing: you cannot buy a subscription on the TV. The "Create account" screen shows a QR code that opens the sign-up page on your phone. Subscribe there or on le-vpn.com, then sign in on the TV with the same credentials.

If your phone also connects, give the Apple TV a different Cryptographic ID in Settings — two devices sharing an ID present the same key to the server.
