Our first Linux app is out: a native desktop app for Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint and Fedora. It is the full app, with a window, a tray icon and the same two protocols as our Windows and Mac apps, and it is included in the subscription you already have.

It installs from our signed repository and updates through your package manager along with the rest of your system. That is why the app has no update button of its own.

  • No extra cost. Sign in with your existing account; the computer counts as one of your 10 simultaneous connections.
  • Ubuntu 22.04 or later, Debian 12 and 13, Linux Mint 22 and Fedora, plus distributions built on them such as Kubuntu, Pop!_OS and Zorin, on 64-bit PCs (x86_64). It works on GNOME, KDE Plasma and Cinnamon, under Wayland and X11. There is no ARM build yet, and an Arch Linux package is coming to the AUR.
  • Sign in with your VPN username and password from your activation email, or your client area email and password — never a mix of the two.
  • WireGuard Stealth and WireGuard, with servers in 100+ locations. Stealth is on by default, so the app connects on networks that block VPN traffic.
  • Leak protection while connected: a firewall keeps every packet and every DNS query inside the tunnel, including while you switch servers.
  • Block Online Threats, Ad Blocker, Allow Local Connections (your printer and file shares stay reachable), Auto Connect, start with the computer, server search and favourites, and light and dark themes that follow your desktop.

To install it, open the download page. It has the terminal commands for each distribution:

On GNOME, log out and back in once after installing so the tray icon appears.

Full details, including what to use on a system the app does not cover yet, are in our announcement:

If you try it and something does not work, open a ticket and we will take it from there.
